Our Continuing Commitment

LOOD is committed to responsibility and accountability, creating a positive impact on people and the planet through our choice of materials and practices. Our sustainable vision is guided by considered choices across design, fabrication, and manufacturing. We strive to create products that endure while minimizing our environmental impact. As a lifestyle brand, our creations use sustainable materials and animal alternatives, continuing to move toward circularity and transparency. We also continue to develop tools to measure and report our environmental impact with greater precision.

Intentional Craftsmanship

We continue to hold our suppliers to a higher material standard, seeking the most responsible options available without compromising quality. This includes ethically sourced materials, fabrics cultivated with less water, fertilizer, and harmful chemicals, textile partners aligned with the GRS Global Recycled Standard, and digital printing processes designed to reduce water use and toxic chemical output.

Cruelty-Free Standard

Our collections are crafted without leather, feathers, fur, exotic skins, or Angora. Since the 2013 PETA campaign brought attention to the treatment of angora rabbits, LOOD has proudly upheld a strict Angora-free standard across all collections, from initial concept through production.

Sustainable Finishing

Our objective is to reduce plastic use wherever possible, with 100% of our polybags designed to be biodegradable and all boxes produced from recycled materials. Our labels and tags are likewise made from recycled materials, extending this standard of consideration to every detail.

Material-Safe Chemistry

Perfluorinated compounds and Azo dyes are prohibited across production processes. Our vegan leathers are developed to be DMF free, while digital prints follow OEKO standards. We observe TEX 100 guidelines to limit toxic chemical use and support more responsible water consumption.

Conscious Material Design

We prioritize responsibly sourced, eco-conscious materials while exploring non-animal alternatives. Our approach balances design with sustainability, favoring natural, biodegradable fibers and selecting materials with intention, performance, and environmental responsibility.
